Brook Hotels
Brook Hotels have a collection of historic 3 star hotels and 4 star hotels in great
locations right across the UK, near to Birmingham, Beverley, Bracknell, Chester,
Colchester, Crewe, Huddersfield, Kingston Upon Thames, Leeds, Matlock, Oakham, Sevenoaks,
Stansted, Sutton Coldfield, Warwick and Worcester.
The Challenge
Brook Hotels had a number of requirements, ranging from their reservation system
to online marketing:-
- Increase the number of bookings taken from their hotel website
- Increase the visibility of their hotel website in the Search Engines for high traffic
search terms related to all 16 of their hotels in the UK
- Reduce the commission paid to third party websites
Actions Taken
Hotels Online undertook the following web design, web development and web marketing
actions:-
- Hotels Online designed and built a new ASP.NET website for Brook Hotels -
www.brook-hotels.co.uk
- The Brook Hotels website was re-structured with search engine friendly URLs
- Website copy was re-written with both search engines and customers in mind
- Hotels Online helped set up all Brook Hotels brochure and hotel booking pages with
images and copy
- Hotels Online undertook a link building campaign
- Hotels Online manage the Brook Hotels website on an ongoing basis, updating and
adding new content regularly
- Hotels Online added Brook Hotels to various distribution websites which it owns.

Marketing Achievements
- Between September 2008 and December 2009, monthly visitor traffic has more than
doubled
- Online bookings taken from the Brook Hotels website have significantly increased
- Commissions paid to third party websites have been significantly reduced
